KAR OG Alan–Sasan DMCC is seeking a qualified and experienced ERP Specialist – System Implementer to join our team in Erbil.
Job Title: ERP Specialist – System Implementer
Location: Erbil, Iraq – with occasional travel to Baghdad and Mosul Governorates
Schedule: Full-time Employee
Working Hours: Sunday – Thursday (08:30 AM – 04:30 PM)
Job Summary
The ERP Specialist – System Implementer will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of ERP systems across the company and its subsidiaries. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, streamlining business processes, and ensuring successful ERP implementation and support in coordination with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end ERP implementation projects, including planning, design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and functional specifications
- Configure ERP modules (e.g., finance, procurement, supply chain, HR, workflows, approval processes, internal audit involvement) to meet organizational needs
- Manage project timelines, resources, risks, and deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants
- Oversee data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing
- Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions
- Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Ensure system compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in ERP implementation or consulting and strong knowledge of some ERP platforms (e.g., SAGE, Infor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo)
- Experience with system integration, data migration, and business process reengineering
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with database concepts, reporting tools, and basic programming is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience working in teams and in large organizations with multi-location operations
- Oil and gas experience is a key asset. English is essential, Arabic is an asset
